Historical Significance:
This beautiful historic building was designed by Hearst Castle architect Julia Morgan and constructed in 1933-1934.
The Monday Club is a non-profit civic organization with a long history of community service which includes:
Funding a lighted entrance to the city in 1926.
Scanning for enemy planes during WWII.
Supporting local charitable causes for women and children since 1927.
Organized the Friends of the Library in 1978.
Landscaped SLO's first park, Mitchell Park 1928.
The Monday Club currently sponsors the annual Tri-Awards scholarship program for local high school students. Scholastic, musical and artistic accomplishments are honored through this program.
